Yesterday was the big day! We headed down for Josh and Lolli's Sealing in the Logan Temple. Some bums off the street decided to decorate their car. How rude.

Our 6 Year Anniversary of Our First Date

On our first date we went to Little Caesars and bought crazy bread. After, we went down to the cheap theaters and toilet papered Randals car while he was on a hot date with Stefy. We took pictures and then loaded them onto Amanda's computer and waited for them to spy them on the screen saver while we played a game the next day. This time we saved our toilet paper for the wedding so that we could decorate Josh and Lolli's car.

Now, I lived in Centenial, not on College Ave but just one street over.

This is where I would walk through the bushes as i headed home each night from Connie's and Stefy or Kari's place.

These are the Davenport apartments where Kurt and Kiel lived.

This is where Kat used to live.

This is another house we spent some time at.... I think Stefy lived here for a semester or two.

This is where Mom used to live back in the day; right after the Teton flood of 1976.

And this is 137! Where we met for the first time when Connie was roomates with Stefy and later roomates with Kari.

Back to College Ave! I arrived early in the morning to Rexburg Idaho... just a bit past midnight June 23rd 2005. I slept over at my brother's apartment and then at 8:30am I went across the street to meet my destiny. Stefy who lived at 137 up College Avenue told me to sit on the porch and she would bring me french toast and milk for breakfast.

This is the house.... this is the porch.... the origanal ghetto porch chair is still there to this day. I sat on it as I ate my breakfast on the left side of the porch.

Here I am exactly six years later.... eating my french toast. We both wore exactly what we were wearing the moment we met.

Out came Connie brushing her teeth and looking good! That was the moment I met my wife and best friend.

And the rest is history folks....

Garage Sale, Cake, and a Rainbow

When we got home one day from work we found a surprise on our doorstep. Some of our new friends thought to make Mack (please notice the "K" which did not make it onto the rich chocolate cake) a cake just becuase he is awesome.

We had a very busy day last Saturday (June 18th) having a huge garage sale with some of our neighbors and friends. We visited with eachother and had a great time in between making tons of sales. We were happy that we made more than we thought we would and still have quite a bit more to sell at our next garage sale.

Last Sunday we looked out one of our windows and saw a rainbow so we took a picture of it to share with everyone.

After Jen's endownment we took a trip to Mesa Falls. We love spending time with family and exploring the world around us. After we went back home and played games and had a great weekend together.

Today was a great day to reflect on all of the great women in our lives! This morning we made fruit bouques and other floral designs for some of the lovely ladies we love so dear. We made them out of pineapples, melons, and gum-drops. Check-out our artistic styles! Enjoy!

We had a great Easter. We decorated eggs with Randal, stefy, Kiel, and Charisse and then the next day we decorated eggs again and also easter cookies with Thomas, Sarah, and Elli Checketts, Katie and Cameron, Tory and April Parson, Katie, and Cousin.

Easter morning the easter Bunny came a delivered a large basket of easter candy among other things. Chocolate is always a great choice. It was even fun teaching our sunbeams who were all very hopped-up on sugar.

Graduation!

Mack graduated April 10th. To celebrate we went to Olive Garden. The food was fantastic!

We then strolled around department stores there in Idaho Falls becuase we had never been to those stores before.

After his graduation we had a party with the family: Randal and Stefy Flamm, Kiel Moser. Later the party continued that nights with some good friends: Tory and April Parson, Mason Small, Julie, Joshua and Morgan Barney, and Thomas, Sarah, and little Elli Checketts. We started the celebration about five in the afternoon, and ended at alomost midnight. Some of our party goers stayed for a few hours and others came late and stayed even later. That is typical of our sorts of parties. In honor of this common occurance we purchased a plate hanging wall decoration that holds three plates each saying either "sit long", "talk much" or "laught often". What fun!

The Salt Lake Lowdown

We are now nearing the end of our Salt Lake adventure. We moved here right after Christmas and will be heading back to Rexburg after Spring General Conference 2010. Though we are sad to leave all of our new friends here, we are also excited to see everyone back in Idaho again. Our time here in Utah has helped us grow, learn, and develop in ways we hadn't before. Speaking in church in a way we hadn't before, teaching impressively intelligent youth, and getting to know many of the Jones cousins who live here in Utah. For all these adventures and many more we are grateful.
Connie loved her student teaching; the teachers and principal adored her. They wanted her to stay and work for the school but our path has shown us another direction. When we return to Rexburg we will be following that path. How grateful we are for the grand opportunities and experiences of life here on earth. Life is full of adventures and joys awaiting our proactive discovery.

The Six Month Mark

Um.... yeah. So this hasn't been updated for quite a bit. So sorry. We are loving life and learning tons. Connie is getting closer and closer to graduation as she teaches preschool in Idaho Falls, watches a client a few days a week, works as the Primary President, and eats plenty of chocolate. Chocolate is also a favorite of Mack's. Though he struggled to find a job this winter, his hard work has paid-off. Mack is now the full-store manager in the Avon Beauty Center here in Rexburg. He is the manager over the four companies that operate there; Avon, the hair salon, The $8 Tie Guy, and The Bun in the Oven respectfully. When Mack isn't pulling teeth in the store, he is fulfilling his calling as the Elders Quorum Secretary, a chair person on the board of the EmploymentCommittee, and as a Home Teacher.

The Two Month Mark

Well... we have survived thus far so we thought we would try it for another few months. Yup, we are having a blasting with all the "new discoveries" which come with the married life. It is so much fun getting to know eachother even better each and everyday. It really seems like we have been married for so much longer than just two months.... like we have always been together. We find this quite special. We could pal around forever.

So far we have been good at our family and personal gospel studies, prayers, and Family Home Evenings. I am so lucky to have a personal tutor in the ways of the Lord. The most amazing exsperiances are had when we come together to learn, teach, and grow. The Spirit is only one of the reasons we love are home.

Sunday dinners are always fun and quite a blast. Last Sunday we had two old friends from Vermont come over for dinner. One with her spouse (Missy and Markez) and the other with his fiance (Kevin and Laura). Also, we had a treat to have Sheila Woods come for dinner and a chatting session too. She is an amazing individual with a very animated personality which we all love. This was the best Sunday dinner party we have ever had thus far. We all shared our stories and laughed and cried together. The spirit was so strong! It was absolutly amazing! If only every dinner was likewise. We were are sanctified by the exsperience. The gospel is true, we all felt the spirit as a witness. It is true that there is so much to learn and exsperience. Eternal Life will not prove boring. I love those guys!

Some are serious, some are well... not, and others will make you rethink your IQ and sanity levels. So go ahead, read through a few and let us know what you think...

Just a little introduction...

Okay... I thought I, Connie, would write a little introduction to us (Mack and Connie). With a bit of help from me, Mack. We met three years ago (June 2005). The 26th. I was at BYU-Idaho, and roommates with his sister Stefanie who I just met in May of the same year. Stef and I were living on College Ave. in a house with 4 other girls. 137 up was the stage of the first act.

In June, my studly sunshine graduated from high school in West Rutland, Vermont and soon flew out west to start school at BYU-Idaho. I was way psyched to start school. At the time I met Mack, Stef was just starting to date Randal (her current husband). Oh, this workedout perfectly! While Stef was out on her dates, Mack and I "hung-out". At times we would go with Stef and Randal, sometimes with some of my other roommates or friends, but most of all, we would just get together and have mayhem adventures, you know, just the two of us. Those were the best ones, just us. I hardly thought of us as "dating" ...whatever worked... but now that I look back, I realize that we really were "dating". Funny how that happened. We had quite a bit fun and some amazing adventures together. Like what? Well, just to name a few, toilet papering/seran wrapping Randal's car, baking cookies, bridge jumping, baking peach cobbler, a flour fight, baking brownies, and so much more ...like baking desserts. True. All in all, awesome adventures. I really liked when we went on our road trips. I got to meet all of Connies immediate family members at one time or another. All great people. One of my favorite road trips was when we went to Wyoming to visit with the grandparents over Thanksgiving break. We left at like midnight, and drove through the night. Several times we went home to Montana. This wonderful family, the Giles family, was always there and it was wonderful to meet all of them too. The Giles kids are so cool. These little guys are like Connies little siblings.

I loved getting to know Connie, she is always full of light and smiles. I took a night class with her in the fall, just so I could have an excuse to spend more time with her. The movies, the notes, the drama unfolding as time went on... okay, I think they got the picture Mack. This is how I saw things. Mack and I became really good friends, actually BEST friends. We did everything and anything together, everyday. I ended up staying at school during the fall as Mack mentioned before, and took a couple of night classes while working full time. I had taken Mack and Stefanie home to Montana a time or two. He met my family but I thought nothing of it. Then Christmas break came and we were separated. We talked on the phone and emailed. I thought that Mack was going to stay in Vermont and work until he went on his mission in the spring. After Christmas break, one of Mack's other sisters, Kari, came to be my new roommate while Stefanie was back in VT working. I went to go pick up Kari and her brother Kiel from the bus stop....when out of nowhere Mack came from the crowd and gave me a big HUGE hug. I was so happy that I just SCREAMED. My Mack was back! Unfortunitly, Mack only stayed in school until the time he went on his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, that March. Guadalajara Mexico was truely blessed.

It was so hard to say goodbye, but I knew we would stay in contact and see each other in a couple of years. I remeber when Connie, Kari, and Kiel went with me to report into the MTC. After the introductory video, it was time say our last goodbyes. I shook Connies hand, a bit tight in fact, and gave my sibling, Kari and Kiel, a hug before I walked away. The exit door wasn't really that far from where we were, but the walk was one I will never forget. I only made it halfway. I had to take one last look at her. I looked, I stopped, I went back. Looking into her eyes, and shaking her hand for the last time (way too tight), I said goodbye. With that I turned and took that two-year walk away from my Connie. Before I made it to the door that day, I made a promise. A promise that in my opinion made all the difference for the sucess of the mission. I promised to sacrifice a few things that I held to myself, if He would adhnce my talents, abilities, and powers. The Lord remeinded me of His promise too. That... was my secret.
While my mission began, Connie was getting ready for hers. Thats right. The day after Mack entered the MTC, I got my mission call to the California Ventura Mission. I would be leaving May 31, 2006 (just a couple of days AFTER Mack flew out to Mexico). The Lord loves us. We wrote to each other off and on throughout our missions. At times more, at times not so much.

November of 2007 I came home from my mission. 18 months flew by. I was home for about 6 weeks before going back to school. In January of 2008 I was once again a full time student at BYUI as well as working part time. I was doing the best I have ever done in school. Then, March 31, 2008 came along and Mack flew home from Mexico to his home in Vermont. That was a crazzy day. He was home for a short while and then flew out west to see his sister Stefanie graduate. Thats what Mack said. April 9, 2008 I saw my hansome man, Mack, for the first time in over 2 years, and it was wonderful to reunite! Yup. We hung out the rest of the week catching up, just like good old times. On Saturday, April 12, 2008 Mack and I went on what I thought was going to be a 5 min. walk to the bank ...nope, guess again babe... but the walk ended up being more like 5 hours. Oops. We talked about our relationship and where it was going. Mack told me he wanted to marry me, and I said okay! She said "oh-yeah"!

Sunday, April 13, 2008 Mack, Kiel, and Stefanie went to church with me, to hear me give a talk. Great talk by the way. Then after church, I drove up to Montana. I went home and told my family and close friends that I was getting married....and they were in shock. We wanted to put everything in its place, so Mack didn't tell his family until Mothers day ...and they were in shock.... more some than others.

Currently Mack is in Big Sky, Montana working and saving up some money. I (Connie) am at BYU-Idaho as a full time student and working part time. We are miles apart, which is hard, but our friendship and love continue to grow. Yes, it does.

Memorial day weekend I went up to Big Sky, MT and Mack and I bought our rings, officially got engaged and took our engagement pictures. In the mean time I have bought my dress, worked on our wedding announcements and much more.

Connie has come to visit several times, I have have gone to see her in Rexburg too, with her father Kerry and sister Jen. I also got to meet Liz and see Bryan, Connies brother, again too. We always have a blast. Our last adventure happened today, the 21st of July. This is the last time we will see eachother before we go out to Vermont and get married in Washington DC. Four weeks, and yes, we are counting.

The big day is August 22nd, 2008 in the Washington, D.C. temple. Then Saturday, August 23rd, 2008 is our Vermont reception, and August 30th, 2008 is our Montana reception. Mack will be going to school full time in the fall and I will be working full time and start school again in January. Well, exact details are still up in the air, but we will be fine. We got faith.
